Homework cancelation
Good Morning!
I am canceling homework for this evening! I feel as though the class has a solid understanding of compound words and do not find it necessary for extra practice. If you are concerned about your child's ability to identify compound words please email me and I am happy to send some extra practice home. It's a beautiful day out, I hope your child is able to enjoy the weather and not worry about school on this half day!
Have a great day!

Crider Lesson!
Thank you Crider for coming out and teaching us how to respond to a bully! The students had a great time playing games, role playing, and learning to stay cool when someone is bullying us. We can't wait to have you in our classroom again next week!

Learning with shaving cream!
Who said practicing your word study words can't be fun? Wednesday we used shaving cream to spell some of our word study words for the week. I think they enjoyed it :)

Bingo!
In room 26, we have a classroom behavior system to encourage good whole class behavior. Each time the whole class works together in a variety of ways, they earn a bingo chip for our bingo board. Once we have 5 in a row (a bingo) the whole class votes on a reward. Today, we received our first bingo! The class voted and tomorrow they have the privilege to chew gum. The gum is to be brought in. We have gone over rules and expectations for chewing gum and the students know that at any time tomorrow this privilege can be taken away if they brake the rules.
